Big apologies for note keeping the site more up to date (major updates coming later this month).

Meanwhile, if you’ve been following the Rambling Rican and Lost in Ube blogs you’ll already know that SASUKE 24 will air January 1st 2010! This is quick considering we just had SASUKE 23 back in September!

However it seems Monster9 and TBS are wanting to play up the supposed rivalry between the “new” Sasuke All Stars and the “old” Sasuke All Stars. Lost in Ube translated part of the announcement from TBS as follows:

“An emergency decision has been made!

In SASUKE 23 the battle between the old and new was not settled

so SASUKE 24 will be held in a hurry this December”

What I don’t get is that KANNO Hitoshi (one of the new All Stars) really looks up to NAGANO Makoto as a mentor and inspiration.

The “leader” of the “new” All Stars, URUSHIHARA Yuuji seems to be the one with the attitude towards the current All Stars (which is maybe where the rivalry comes from?!?)….but he made it to the FINAL STAGE in SASUKE 22 and crapped out in 2ND Stage in SASUKE 23 other and than that he’s a real “johnny come lately”.

Does making it to the final stage once automatically make someone an ALL STAR? I guess we’ll see in SASUKE 24.

Thanks to the hardworking SASUKE Fan Community namely Lost in Ube, Rambling Rican and the Sasuke Maniacs the air date for the 23rd SASUKE Competition is now known.

SASUKE 23 will air in Japan on Sunday September 27th at 7:00pm (JST) on TBS.

Work has been steadily proceeding on expanding the Competitors area (if there is someone you’d really like to see added send in a suggestion to webmaster@sasukecentral.net).

The Obstacles page now provide indicators for whether we have photos and videos available. In addition, new photos and videos were added for the four new obstacles from Sasuke #22 (Circle Hammer, Slider Jump, Heavenly Ladder & G Rope).

Currently we are working on translating listings for the 100 starting competitors from each competition. We hope to have this completed during the summer.

Sasuke Maniacs (http://sasukemaniac.netau.net/) is a great Sasuke/Ninja Warrior resource. The site is loaded with forums, galleries, videos and one of the coolest items that you probably won’t find anywhere else is the Sasukepedia Wiki (http://www.sasukepedia.wikia.com) . Lots of great information is to be had for all Sasuke maniacs!

It’s awesome to have so many great Sasuke/Ninja Warrior resources available for fans to satiate our Sasuke/Ninja Warrior appetites while we are between events. If you’re not already a regular over at Sasuke Maniac…you soon will be.

The 22nd SASUKE/NInja Warrior Competition are in at http://www.sasukecentral.net/sasuke_competitions_details.php?a_id=22 if you are waiting to watch Sasuke #22 on G4 I suggest not reading as it is has spoilers.

As far as changes to the course go there were two new obstacles in the 1ST STAGE: Circle Hammer (bumping Pole Maze) and Slider Jump (which replaced Flying Chute) and we were finally able to see the FINAL STAGE which has changed somewhat since Sasuke #17 when NAGASAKI Shunsuke made it and NAGANO Makoto beat it.
