Some information about SASUKE 25
Hi, I just thought that I’d give everyone some random information from the new tournament:
- All the numbers were drawn by a lottery, except #98 #99 and #100 which were given to AKIYAMA Kazuhiko, NAGANO Makoto and URUSHIHARA Yuuji respectively.
- Some old obstacles made returns in this tournament including the Rolling Log, the Jump Hang and the Circle Slider (which eleminated NAGANO Makoto).
- 11 competitors completed Stage 1: Jun Sato, Kenji Takahashi, Levi Meeuwenberg, Yoshiyuki Okuyama, Koji Hashimoto, Brian Orosco, Toshihiro Takeda, Lee Enchi, Hitoshi Kanno, Shingo Yamamoto,Yuuji Urushihara.
- Out of the 11 people to clear Stage 1 only 5 completed Stage 2. The obstacles that elimated most people were the Balanace Tank, and the new Double Salmon Ladder.
- None of the 5 who conquered Stage 2 could make it past the new Ultimate Cliffhanger, which lives up to it’s name having roughly 6 ledges, the first to are coming together at an acute point and the wall at that part is also angled back.
- After it was over TBS showed tester proving that Stage 3 can be beaten but they are keeping the Final Stage a secret

Help Wanted….needed?
Hi All,
My apologies for not keeping Sasuke Central more up to date. I am just finding that with two small kids and a demanding job that I just don’t have the time to add in all the updates…especially due to the vast amount of information that is generated from just one Sasuke tournament. Plus my wife and I really like to focus our efforts on hosting Sasuke parties (as soon as we get the DVDs from Japan) and began Sasuke Central to help support those parties and the web efforts tend to take away from the parties.
In addition there are some really GREAT Sasuke resources available (http://sasukepedia.wikia.com/, http://ramblingrican.blogspot.com/, http://lostinube.blogspot.com/, http://www.geocities.jp/r_0308_xyz/s.00sasuke.html) on the net in addition to Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ninja_Warrior).
If there’s anyone out there interested in helping to keep the site up to date (strong php and html skills a must) shoot me an email to webmaster@sasukecentral.net. If there is no interest then I’ll be happy to have made some small contribution to the Sasuke community….and call it a day.
Cheers!

URUSHIHARA Yuuji achieves KANZENSEIHA at SASUKE 24!
Well it looks like URUSHIHARA Yuuji is an All Star after all as he completed the FINAL Stage in SASUKE 24 with 3.57 seconds to spare becoming the third person to achieve KANZENSEIHA (total victory).

SASUKE 24 to air JANUARY 1st 2010!
Hey All,
Big apologies for note keeping the site more up to date (major updates coming later this month).
Meanwhile, if you’ve been following the Rambling Rican and Lost in Ube blogs you’ll already know that SASUKE 24 will air January 1st 2010! This is quick considering we just had SASUKE 23 back in September!
However it seems Monster9 and TBS are wanting to play up the supposed rivalry between the “new” Sasuke All Stars and the “old” Sasuke All Stars. Lost in Ube translated part of the announcement from TBS as follows:
“An emergency decision has been made!
In SASUKE 23 the battle between the old and new was not settled
so SASUKE 24 will be held in a hurry this December”
What I don’t get is that KANNO Hitoshi (one of the new All Stars) really looks up to NAGANO Makoto as a mentor and inspiration.
The “leader” of the “new” All Stars, URUSHIHARA Yuuji seems to be the one with the attitude towards the current All Stars (which is maybe where the rivalry comes from?!?)….but he made it to the FINAL STAGE in SASUKE 22 and crapped out in 2ND Stage in SASUKE 23 other and than that he’s a real “johnny come lately”.
Does making it to the final stage once automatically make someone an ALL STAR? I guess we’ll see in SASUKE 24.
More to follow as details become available.
